We make bends. We make helices, U bends, offset snake bends and all in between. This week we had a challenge. We were to make a large diameter 6.525″ ID Bend on a 69″ Center-Line-Radius with a tolerance of +-0.5Deg, and 8″ tangents. If that was not enough, we were to maintain and certify a tube roundness not to exceed 0.070″ out of round. Here is the result. You can see, toward the middle of the bend, a fab card with 16 point-of-reference checks.
