Happy Birthday John!
John Busada, founder of Busada Mfg. Corp just turned 99. He is the oldest member of the Plastics Pioneers Association.
John, a 1934 graduate of Worcester Tech (Chemical Engineering) began his plastics’ research in Lowell, MA soon after graduation. As a naval lieutenant he continued his research, worked as a rep in India, and in 1951 invested in an extruder and started Busada Supply Co. He started with ABS and PVC extrusion and then turned to CAB. Through his leadership, “Busada” became synonymous with pneumatic conveyance. For an interesting fact, in the 50’s he made a lot of hula hoops.
Here he is as a young man in his 60’s after moving his plant from Flushing NY, to Hicksville, NY.
And, in 2015 with his daughter Jean, and son, Charles who have managed the business for the last 20 years.
Finally a collection of cards that cover seven decades.
